چکیده

context connective tissue cells include fibroblasts, chondrocytes, adipocyte, and osteocytes. these cells are specialized for the secretion of collagenous extracellular matrix and are responsible for the architectural framework of the human body. evidence acquisition connective tissue cells play a central role in supporting as well as repairing tissues and organs. fibroblast cell therapy could be used for the treatment of burn wounds, scars, diabetic foot ulcers, acne scars and skin aging. this review focused on biology of fibroblasts and their role in cell therapy of recessive dystrophic epidermolysis bullosa (rdeb). results fibroblasts are known to play a pivotal role in skin structure and integrity, and dermal fibroblasts are believed to promote skin regeneration and rejuvenation via collagen production. conclusions fibroblasts can be used in transplantations to ameliorate an immune system response, in order to reduce antigen production. human fibroblasts suppress ongoing mixed lymphocyte reactions (mlrs) between lymphocyte cells from two individuals, and supernatant materials from fibroblast cultures suppress mlrs.

Potential of fibroblast cell therapy for recessive dystrophic epidermolysis bullosa.

Recessive dystrophic epidermolysis bullosa (RDEB) is a severe inherited skin-blistering disorder caused by mutations in the COL7A1 gene that lead to reduced type-VII collagen and defective anchoring fibrils at the dermal-epidermal junction (DEJ). Presently there are no effective treatments for this disorder. Recent mouse studies have shown that intradermal injections of normal human fibroblasts...

Fibroblast-based cell therapy strategy for recessive dystrophic epidermolysis bullosa.

Dystrophic epidermolysis bullosa (DEB) is a severe skin fragility disorder associated with trauma-induced blistering, progressive soft tissue scarring, and increased risk of skin cancer. DEB is caused by mutations in the COL7A1 gene which result in reduced, truncated, or absent type VII collagen, and anchoring fibrils at the dermal-epidermal junction (DEJ). Because no topical wound-healing agen...

Three Brothers with Recessive Dystrophic Epidermolysis Bullosa

Epidermolysis bullosa (EB) is a group of heritable mechano-bullous skin diseases classified into three major categories on the basis of the level of tissue separation within the dermal-epidermal basement membrane zone. In the most severe, dystrophic (scarring) forms of EB, blisters form below the cutaneous basement membrane at the level of the anchoring fibrils, which are composed of type VII c...

Human skin collagenase in recessive dystrophic epidermolysis bullosa. Purification of a mutant enzyme from fibroblast cultures.

Recessive dystrophic epidermolysis bullosa, a genodermatosis characterized by dermolytic blister formation in response to minor trauma, is characterized by an incresaed collagenase synthesis by skin fibroblasts in culture. Since preliminary studies of partially purified recessive dystrophic epidermolysis bullosa collagenase suggested that the protein itself was aberrant, efforts were made to pu...

Enhanced biosynthesis of human skin collagenase in fibroblast cultures from recessive dystrophic epidermolysis bullosa.

Using a sensitive, specific immunoprecipitation method, the biosynthesis of human skin collagenase was studied in fibroblast cultures from patients with recessive dystrophic epidermolysis bullosa. Sodium dodecyl sulfate polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis of solubilized immunoprecipitates showed two 3H-labeled procollagenase species that comigrated with those harvested from control cultures. Rec...

Somatic forward (nonrevertant) mosaicism in recessive dystrophic epidermolysis bullosa.

angiofibromas.4 Successful treatment of nonangiofibroma cutaneous manifestations of TSC has been sparse. To our knowledge, topical rapamycin has not been used successfully to treat the ungual fibromas of TSC. In our case, the use of topical rapamycin was well tolerated and resulted in the resolution of subungual tumors and rapid normalization of the overlying nail distortion. The pathogenesis o...
